We went to the early leaening centre at Barnsley college to gather ideas about aciticty boards. Also some ideas on what to base it around or on, such as maths and shapes. I also went to my local library to see some of the latest books that I could use for my activity board and base the subject on them.

Final Design for Library Wall (sketchbook)
Here I have used some of the work Amber Goodvin has done and put it on a larger scale and worked some different omages and pieces into one. I have used a bright and varied palette to differ from the plain blue that was there before. This will have a plain background to show these colours well. However, the background could have a different colour opposed to white but I believe it will be better with something pale such as musk pink or an egg shell blue colour. I have used the images in a creative way to almost add the imaginative element you meed for reading and how tou can make things how you wish them to be through reading.
I could have done this better if I'd have pre done a coloured back ground as i described such as a baby blue.
Reading Boards
I have searched for some books which I believe will interest the age range of 5-7 year old and found a book called 'The Girl With the Parrot on her Head' I found this in the age range of 5+ however it may be a bit too young for those of the early age of 7. I also went to my local library to find some new and latest books which I thought may be interesting for both male and female and also quite openly aged. These include comics from DC and also a bool including more than one story from Enid Blyton.
Critical Study (Amber Goodvin and Anna Bond)
Design Ideas (Rough)
Amber Goodvin
On this sheet, is my chosen artist for my design inspiration for the Library Wall. Goodvin works at Hallmark and has had experience in Lettering and illustration. Which I believe will be interesting and abstract for the children to look at and attract them to reading.
Illustrators Biography
On this sheet I have wrotten about some illustrators that I particularly find interesting and are well known by the book title or illustration, such as Georgina Hargreaves who illustrated for Enid Blytons' stories. This sheet also includes E.H. Shepard and Eric Carle (famous for being the author and illustrator to 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'.
