I enjoyed doing this workshop as i got to look at more detail in my designs using small pieces of Lino to creat a great print. I used tools to cut out my desired pattern after I had drawn a design to relate to my other experiments, then, I free hand drew it onto the lino. Once complete, I used printing paint and rolled out a mixture of red and black with mostly red in it and used a roller to transfer the paint onto my limo, I then created a print after press rolling it onto a similar sized piece of paper.
After, i thought I'd do something different and make a monoprint which turned out to be very intense and stood out. I believe this went well and fits perfectly in opposition to the other. It has a realistic but abstract effect.
Health and saftey was to keep the use of tools alway working away from you to avoid injury and also to use a table block to keep your lino in place. Wearing gloves could also help in case you have allergies and an apron to avoid damage to your clothes.
